What is Botox?

Botox is a purified protein material which is made of botulinum toxin. It is injected into the skin and used to treat various muscular conditions. It reduces the wrinkles sign by temporary paralyzing the facial muscles. Injection block the overactive nerve muscles results in extreme muscle contractions and then reducing the wrinkles. Once the nerve is blocked, the muscle will get paralyzed for the short span of time and wrinkles may get soft and faded.   Botox is widely used to cure the horizontal line around the eye and the forehead. Botox treatments with the botulinum toxin are also called neuromodulators or neurotoxins. There was the time when the treatment was usually available for the celebrity only but now, any middle-class family can also afford the same to have a younger look. Uses of Botox Treatment:

• The main motive of the treatment is to cure or reduce the wrinkle which is also known as the dynamic wrinkles or expression lines. These wrinkles or facial lines can be caused by the growing age, or hormonal imbalance and other skin disorders.
• The botox treatments are used to correct the upper facial fine lines such as the lines between the eyebrows, horizontal lines on the forehead, crow' s feet around the eye etc which are generally visible while smiling, frowning, squinting, & another facial expression.
• Botox does not treat the static wrinkles caused by sagging or loss of plumpness in the face. These lines may effect the area of cheeks, neck, jowl areas etc. Botox is not a permanent anti-aging treatment. The results of the treatment last for the 3-4 months. After this, repeated botox treatments are required for an effective younger skin type.
